The House Ethics Committee has secretly voted to release a report detailing sexual misconduct allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz. This comes after Gaetz withdrew his nomination for Attorney General and stated he would not seek re-election to Congress.

The House Ethics Committee secretly voted to release the long-awaited ethics report that details sexual misconduct allegations of former Rep. Matt Gaetz , according to several media outlets citing 'multiple sources with knowledge of the matter', the media outlet on Wednesday said the Committee voted 'earlier this month' in hopes of revealing the report before the end of this Congress.

'The report is now expected to be made public after the House’s final day of votes this year as lawmakers leave Washington for the holidays, those sources said,' The Florida Republican recently left Congress and was President-elect Donald Trump's pick to be the next attorney general, but withdrew his name from consideration on Nov. 21. He dropped out after scrutiny in connection to the probe cast doubt on his ability to be confirmed as the nation’s chief federal law enforcement officer. 'I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I'll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Trump's DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1,' Gaetz previously wrote on X. 'I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history,' he added. 'I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I'm certain he will Save America.'Gaetz also said he won't rejoin Congress next year
