“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out and create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area,” he said.

Rep. Green noted, however, the effort will likely not earn support from all his congressional colleagues. When reached for comment, White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields told The National News Desk Democrats "continue to waste their time on publicity stunts that go against the wishes of the American people."
