WASHINGTON—The House of Representatives won’t return on May 4 as planned, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said, adding further uncertainty over when another round of coronavirus stimulus legislation might come up for a vote in Congress.
Mr. Hoyer said on Tuesday he had consulted with the attending physician for Congress and cited health risks to lawmakers and staff as the reason for the delay. Coronavirus cases continue to rise in the nation’s capital and surrounding areas.
