A House committee on Capitol Hill will hear updates Wednesday morning on the federal response and investigation into the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, according to a statement from the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on Tuesday.

Beginning at 10 a.m. in the Rayburn House Office Building, federal leaders will update a committee of 64 lawmakers on what they've learned of the moments before and after the M/V DALI container ship lost power and collided with the bridge on March 26.Officials from the United States Coast Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Transportation, and National Transportation Safety Board are expected to speak.

According to the Associated Press, board chair Jennifer Homendy said they were focusing on the electrical power system of the massive container ship that veered off course. Meanwhile, the U.S. Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers are primarily involved with the clean-up of the area and rebuilding efforts.Baltimore City and Maryland leaders have also launched their investigations into the companies that own and operate the nearly 1,000-foot-long ship.
