The Democratic chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee formally requested six years of President Donald Trump's personal and business tax returns late Wednesday. Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., delivered the request to Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Charles Rettig. Neal's letter said the request was to conduct oversight of federal tax laws, "including, but not limited to, the extent to which the IRS audits and enforces federal tax laws against a president.
