Clear skies and hot temperatures are expected Sunday and Monday for the Harrisburg region, according to the National Weather Service - after which thunderstorms will move in, although the heat will remain for the rest of the coming week. Sunny weather with highs in the upper 80s are projected to set in Sunday afternoon and last for the Independence Day holiday, according to the NWS.
Intermittent storms will arrive late Monday night, the NWS is forecasting, with roving clouds and thunderstorms lasting for the next several days and the chance of precipitation hovering around 50%.for the next seven days:TonightSunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
