According to a statement released by the school, a fifth grader passed away Friday evening.
“Friday evening, we lost a member of our 5th grade class at Horseshoe Bend School. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who were touched by this tragedy. We will have counselors and local ministers available for our students and staff to talk with if needed beginning tomorrow and continuing throughout the week. 5th grade students will gather in the commons area as they enter campus Monday morning to eat breakfast as a class.
Counselors and ministers will be available on campus starting Monday and continuing throughout the week.
