Carlee Russell appeared in court on Wednesday for a status hearing.
Earlier this year,As a part of her sentencing, Russell has to pay nearly $18,000 in restitution to the City of Hoover.
The state noted that Russell made a $49 payment in June, a $120 payment in July, and a $30 payment in September and October. Russell agreed to make a minimum payment of $50 per month moving forward. “Obviously with what happened, it‘s difficult to find a job, especially with a case of this type of notoriety. The restitution payment is a minimum. She can make that and hopefully she’s making strides towards the payments,” said Luckie Milad, Russell’s attorney.
