HONOR has released two new phones from its X series into the Malaysian market. The X6a and X5 Plus are
, sporting a 6.56-inch 720p display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is driven by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
On the back, it features a 50MP main camera, a macro lens, and a depth sensor, while the display holds 5MP selfie snapper. Powering it is a 5,200mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging.Even more affordable is the X5 Plus, which is equipped with the same 6.56-inch 720p display at 90Hz. Another similarity with the X6a is that it also runs on a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, paired with only 4GB of RAM and a paltry 64GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card.
It uses a 50MP primary rear camera alongside a depth sensor and the front houses a 5MP selfie shooter. Furthermore, it is powered by a 5,200mAh battery with 10W charging. Despite being under RM500, the phone still comes with a USB-C charging sport, albeit with USB 2.0 speeds.Both phones support dual-SIM with 4G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1, although NFC support seems to be missing. The budget devices even come with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
