Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' planned legacy sequel, Shrunk, has received a grim update from one of its stars, Josh Gad. A comedy film released in 1989, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids featured Rick Moranis as inventor Wayne Szalinski, whose shrink ray accidentally shrinks neighborhood kids trying to get a baseball from his house. The movie is regarded as a classic family comedy, with a legacy sequel, Shrunk, announced back in 2019.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Gad writes Shrunk has been delayed numerous times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scheduling conflicts, and budget issues. However, he still remains hopeful the film will arrive on Disney+ at some point in the future.
