The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) posted a notice detailing the recall, attributing the issue to a software error within the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU).

A total of 294,612 vehicles are included in this recall.\Honda will remedy the issue by reprogramming the FI-ECU software at no cost to vehicle owners.
