Which midsize Honda SUV makes more sense? We weigh the pros and cons here.
Bubble of Safety: Tie
Honda loads up its cars with the latest in active safety and driver assist features. Both Pilot and Passport come standard with automatic emergency braking, lane centering, and adaptive cruise control. Each also receives blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert for all but their lowest trim levels.
The Passport may appeal to those who want the design of a two-row SUV, but that boxy SUV carries almost the same base price as the larger and three-row Pilot. You might expect the shorter, lighter Passport to come out on top in terms of fuel economy, but it's the FWD Pilot that has the best rating, at 20/27 mpg city/highway.
