A group of homebuilders purchased more than 100 acres in Celina to add hundreds of homes near the city’s historic downtown.A group of homebuilders purchased more than 100 acres in Celina to add hundreds of homes near the city’s historic downtown.
The development partnership, led by Perry Homes, closed the transaction earlier this week. They purchased a 156-acre farm from G Bar 7 Partners, a partnership of the Glendenning family, according to Collin County deed records.The purchase price was not disclosed. Caleb Lavey and Rex Glendenning of Frisco-based REX Real Estate negotiated the transaction for both parties.Perry Homes, joined by Shaddock Homes and Grand Homes, will build approximately 450 homes on a mix of 50, 60 and 70-foot lots.
“We are thrilled to see the continued momentum of our expanding Uptown Celina community,” Ryan Griffin, Rockhill’s CEO, said in a statement. “Perry Homes is not only a reputable builder but a fantastic partner. We look forward to the development progressing in 2025.”“There’s just a lot of opportunity ,” he said. “You get the toll road. You get the quality of schools. You’re still close enough to all the retail shops and the dining and employment centers.
