The top three New Jersey counties on the list all had typical home values over $600,000 in May, according to Zillow.
Cape May County, with its pricey Jersey Shore resort towns, had the highest typical home value in the state and ranked 73 in the country in the analysis of county-level values. Monmouth County was close behind at 75 on the list. Bergen County also made the top 100 and all three had typical home values over $600,000, as of May., according to the data. Nationwide, the typical home value was $346,270.
