Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the investigation is conducted under Section 505 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. — Bernama picKUALA LUMPUR, March 11 — An investigation paper has been opened against Professor Emeritus Datuk Teo Kok Seong, who is also a fellow with the National Council of Professors, following his controversial statement regarding vernacular schools recently.
Saifuddin Nasution cited the increasing number of Malay students who chose to study in such schools of late as an example of the attraction of vernacular schools.“That’s also a fact... when there is criticism against it , there is also a large number choosing ,” he said winding up the debate on the Motion of Thanks for the Royal Address for his ministry today.
He also confirmed that a total of 63 police reports have been received regarding the statements made by Bozz Jebat, whose real name is Zool Amali Husin, for allegedly insulting Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abang Johari Abang Openg on YouTube.
