Shoppers were divided
Home Bargains shoppers have been left divided over a new 99p drink that some are saying is 'far too sweet'.
The popular retailer is known for its array of quirky products, especially when it comes to food and drink, that other stores don't always offer. Showcasing the new 'Swizzles Squash' collection, Home Bargains shared a vibrant image of the new drinks to its 1.4m followers on Facebook. Featuring Drumstick Raspberry Squash, Refreshers Lemon Squash, Refreshers Sour Apple Squash and Love Hearts Squash, the post soon racked up plenty of likes and comments from shoppers sharing their different opinions. It read: "[star emoji] STAR BUY [star emoji] Your favourite sweets are now a drink! What flavour would you choose? Swizzels 1L Squash only 99p in stores now!"It seems that the latest Star Buy proved popular with some shoppers, and not so popular with others.
Other shoppers weren't so convinced. One unimpressed comment read: "Bottles of artificial sweetener [sick emoji]." A fourth Home Bargains shopper tagged their friend and said: "I'm not sure how I feel about this? [laugh emoji]."Receive newsletters with the latest news, sport and what's on updates from the Liverpool ECHO by signing up here
