Discount retailer Home Bargains has received praise on social media after announcing its stores will close for three days over the Christmas period.
In a statement posted to Instagram on Friday, the retailer said: "CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENT. All of our stores will be closing for Boxing Day & New Years Day.READ MORE: I tried Iceland's new bakery range and I'm obsessed with a 75p item Fans of the brand have rushed to praise the gesture in the comments section of the post. @andreas_abode said: "You set a good example to the rest of the retail industry xxxxx" [sic].
