Actors in Australian soap opera, Home And Away, have often been suspected of being 'cursed', with some stars dying in tragic circumstances.
Rebecca, first originated by Jane Hall in 1989, was a sunny, yet sophisticated, young character with bright blonde curly hair. Belinda returned to the show in 1999, but left shortly after, but Megan wasn't invited back. Although their character of Rebecca was given a graceful soap opera exit — getting to sail away on a boat to Canada with her husband, Travis — the actresses themselves were not as lucky.
After the terrible event, his family released a touching tribute: "We lost our handsome, talented, funny, complicated and beloved Dieter on Saturday morning. He has left a massive hole in our lives and our world will never be the same."
