Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar, criticized New York Gov. Kathy Hochul during a Fox News appearance on Monday. Hochul had highlighted her New York City subway system safety initiatives on Sunday, involving the National Guard and NYPD to add cameras and reduce crime. Homan condemned the timing of her post following a violent attack on a NYC subway train.
He accused Hochul of supporting sanctuary status and welcoming illegal immigrants to the state, saying, 'Governor Hochul, shame on her.' A spokesperson for Hochul did not respond to a request for comment. This criticism follows recent attacks on Hochul, including from fellow Democrat Rep. Ritchie Torres, who also condemned her response to the subway violence
