Hollyoaks legend Jennifer Metcalfe has finally spoken up about Jamie Lomas' poignant departure from the hit Channel 4 soap. The iconic duo have treaded the boards on and off for more than twenty years, bringing to life the tumultuous affair between fan-favourites Mercedes McQueen and Warren Fox. Their love story, however, has reached a climax with a twist thats as startling as it is final.
In a bittersweet adieu, Warren was whisked away in a vehicle, pockets lined with Fraser Black's wealth yet considerate enough to leave a sizeable portion behind for Mercedes to forge a new path for herself, reports the Mirror. Jennifer Metcalfe, who portrays Mercedes in the show, opened up about her character's numerous romances and mused: "Yes, I think Mercedes feels like every man is her 'true' love and she'll justify why every man is her 'true' love because she's a hopeless romantic, even though she's a strong woman that don't need a man but she loves a man, wants a man and I think she needs a man.
