The Week 10 Hollis Wright Birmingham Football Player of the Week had a dominating performance in leading his team to its first playoff berth since 2009.
McFadden completed 11-of-16 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns, ran 13 times for 73 yards and three scores and caught at 10-yard TD pass in the win. Briarwood Christian running back Luke Reynolds broke the program’s record for rushing yards with 221 on 20 carries, previously held by Tim Castille, to finish second in the voting. Reynolds also recorded five tackles, with a sack and a tackle for a loss, in a 20-13 win over Homewood.
