This was shared on the Save Paros Beaches Group, while an image revealed it would cost €120 per day for the luxury of a "VIP area".Businesses are also placing more sunbeds on the beaches and spreading out further than they are allowed to within their leased areas.
So not only are the sunbeds becoming too expensive, but the area with which they can relax is becoming smaller., the Save Paros Beaches group labelled the businesses owners as "greedy" and "socially irresponsible". Ronit Nesher, a long-time visitor to Paros who permanently moved there four years ago, labelled the situation as "very, very sad"."I'm just asking questions like, really? He claimed that there are "massive discrepancies" over how far businesses have spread across the island. Last year, 7,186 square metres were officially leased to businesses but 18,800 square metres of beach space was taken up, according to theSpeaking to television station ERT earlier this month, Paros Mayor Markos Kovaios said the "problem is real" and that authorities were assessing beaches for "possible illegal occupation".
