When met at the National Heart Institute (IJN) just three days after his surgery, Danish Al ‘Aliy Fadzil was already playing with his trains and tracks from his favourite series Thomas & Friends.
Danish Al ‘Aliy Fadzil is known to be energetic and cheeky among family members despite suffering from a congenital heart disease since birth.
“Before the surgery, both his brothers who stayed back in Sitiawan requested to see him via video call.“My husband and I were worried during the three-hour surgery. After that, Danish appeared tired for the first one or two days. IJN consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Hew Chee Chin, who performed the surgery on June 6 to close the hole in Danish’s heart, said the physical growth of the patient might be affected if surgery was not performed in time.
