The Barbie Phone, HMD's throwback flip phone featuring a theme inspired by Mattel's popular toy franchise, is now official. Marketed as 'the perfect tool to live your best life and take a vacation from your smartphone', it ships without social media apps and lacks support for any data-based connectivity.
Being a Barbie tie-in, the phone is decked out in different pink colours, while a 1.77-inch external screen with a reflective surface is present on the front cover. The latter is designed to help you frame your selfies when using the built-in 0.3MP camera, which also is accompanied by a flash module. Flipping the phone open, we're greeted with a 2.8-inch display and a T9 keypad with design elements that light up in the dark.
