The sale of a sprawling beach house at 2 Charlie’s Lane has brought the island’s highest-ever price for a single-family home to a fresh high.

At the eastern end of Long Island, a new record has been set.

Originally built in 1952, the property at 2 Charlie’s Lane closed this week for $12.95 million, $1 million below its $13.95 million ask, according to a release sent by the listing brokerage. Following the extensive reconstruction project, the domicile measures in at approximately 6,000 square feet, spread over a single level set on 3.4 acres of land.
