Concerns have been raised about the deteriorating condition of parts of the tourist attraction
A Victorian pumping station that supplied clean water to Nottingham has been added to Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register.
The Grade II* listed pumping station was built in 1882 and is the only one in England to have retained all its original features, including machinery, and the reservoir. He said: "We do as much as we can, but there comes a point with buildings, such as the engine house porch and the chimney, where you need to call in specialists.
The pumping station is one of 28 sites across the East Midlands added to Historic England's at risk register this year.The 1797-built windmill has suffered some natural deterioration of its structure and mechanisms.
