Just before I retire for the evening, I drink some orange or apple juice ...

I buy yogurt that comes in square containers that have easy-to-peel-off labels. After I finish my yogurt, I wash out the containers and reuse them. I put rubber bands in some and paper clips in others, as well as staples and an assortment of other small items.

When I drove to see my folks in Ohio, I took some small plastic bottles of orange juice in a thermal container to keep them cool. It was so much handier than lugging around a huge jug of orange juice. -- S.B., in IowaI have sculptured tile flooring in my kitchen. I decided to clean off a few years of wear on them, and I used the baking soda approach with a bit of labor. I’ll preface this with the fact that I walk barefoot in my house.

I also do this for my pets, in case they ever get out of the yard or are somehow lost. -- J.P., in PennsylvaniaI use a nutcracker to open soda bottles all the time.
