La Grange School District 102 has named Christopher Covino, assistant superintendent for academics for Hinsdale Township High School District 86, as its new superintendent.
Christopher Covino will become La Grange School District 102 superintendent, starting in July.
“I’m very familiar with suburban school settings … that is where I have spent all of my career,” Covino said in an interview.Covino has been assistant superintendent for academics for Hinsdale Township High School District 86 for three years, and has worked in various educational roles for more than 20 years, including eight years as an English teacher at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, and four years as principal of Argo Community High School in Summit.
“I would love to express how excited I am to get to know the staff, the community and in particular the students of La Grange,” Covino said.
