The Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter's restaurant and hotel received a multi-million dollar remodel for the first time in years
The Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter hotel unveiled a $22.5 million renovation of its lobby, guest rooms and a brand new rabbit-themed restaurant.
.” When Alonzo Horton established the neighborhood more than 150 years ago, the streets were filled with rogue rabbits instead of today’s night life.The overall design of the hotel is tied together with neutral color tones and contemporary fixtures like elongated curved sofas, marble tabletops and rattan and wicker seating. The structure also plays into San Diego’s temperate weather with floor-to-ceiling garage doors and a bar that melds the outdoors and indoors for guests.
The dining concept, which opened earlier this week, serves breakfast and California cuisine, such as a signature dish with roasted carrots, spiced goat cheese, and artisanal honey as well as fresh greens from an on-site herb garden on the terrace. And of course, the dessert menu wouldn’t be complete without — you guessed it — carrot cake.
The Hilton Gaslamp Quarter, which was already a pet-friendly hotel, plans to build on that reputation by adding features such as a “yappy hour” and a menu for dogs.
