It was a scene of hundreds of teachers loading up into buses as they act as students and parents, all a part of a reunification drill.
Monday was the chance to practice for Hilliard. They hope to show the community that they have a plan in place and that practice makes perfect."The first time you do something like this you never want it to be a real-life situation, you want to practice this, you want to do a full-blown exercise like today, so we got all the components here," said Michael Woods, Chief of Police, City of Hilliard.
"There is going to be a lot of emotion if something really did happen. As a parent I would want to get there I would want to find my student, but I also want to make sure that I'm trying to do it within the confines of what the school district, police department and fire department want me to do," said Woods.
