The star gave us all the details on her new makeup collaboration.
If you grew up in a house that got The Disney Channel, you've probably spent about 20 years thinking thatwould make a great addition to the friend group. Even when Lizzy McGuire was off in Rome, the star behind the fan-favorite character has always managed to project a down-to-Earth sensibility. That image was upheld when, a family-owned beauty line that releases all its products in the form of makeup sticks.
"I’m super busy, but I love makeup," Duff tells me during our phone interview. She's an investor in Nudestix, and she's always wanted to have a line of her own, but with a critical eye on the industry — "the market is so saturated with everyone having makeup lines," she says — she decided to get her fix by collaborating with the brand.

She appreciates all the qualities that make the line so easy to use: Multi-use sticks are designed for cheeks, lips, and eyes; a makeup brush is built right into the end of each stick; and the sticks stack up neatly in a makeup bag. "It’s created by women, so they think about everything. The little brush on the end of the stick unscrews, so you can wash it, because who wants to keep using the same dirty brush again.
Duff's everyday makeup routine is set, and she isn't looking to revisit any of the early 2000s trends many of us grew up with, even ifdid help create them. Asked about trends she has no interest in revisiting, she calls out thin eyebrows. "I never want to see thin eyebrows again," she says. As for bold,, that's all but off the table as well. "I’m a 31-year-old mom.
Butterfly clips and mismatched outfits are on the horizon as is, I'm sure, a makeup bag full of well-curated beauty sticks.
