A post shared by police advising people on where to leave their car keys at night has been met with a number of hilarious responses on social media.
It went on to explain that doing this would avoid putting 'yourself or a family member at risk' - however it quickly attracted a number of comments beneath.One person commented: "Perhaps I should leave them in the car to make it easier for a thief to steal it trouble free" as another humorously quipped: "Might as well leave the door open and leave them a brew and biscuits on side.
One person said: "I'll just leave the engine running shall I?" as another commented: "I'll start leaving them in the door on the outside than shall I?"
