THE Hijos Del Nazareno-Central filed on Thursday, August 17, 2023, charges against Amadeus Fernando Pagente, more popularly known as Pura Luka Vega, over his controversial portrayal of the Black Nazarene of Quiapo Church.
Val Samia, president of HDNC, which is an organization of Black Nazarene devotees recognized by the Quiapo Church, said members all agreed to press charges against Vega over his “irresponsible acts.” Vega is also facing a complaint by the Philippines for Jesus Movement filed in Quezon City for violating Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
