TRAFFIC ALERT: Mudslide causes closures on U.S. Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon; One semi stuck (Photos via UHP)
The highway was initially closed in both directions around 2 p.m. near milepost 200, near the Tie Fork rest area between Spanish Fork and Helper, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
Eastbound lanes were later reopened, but westbound remained closed until about 4 p.m. when Utah Highway Patrol said westbound traffic was being diverted onto eastbound while crews continued to clear the road.
