Washington State Ferries (WSF) says all passengers should be prepared for possible service disruptions amid stormy weather on Tuesday.A spring storm is bringing
The strongest south/west wind gusts are forecast to develop Tuesday afternoon and evening, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph at times. Mount Vernon, Bellingham, Anacortes, Friday Harbor, Port Townsend, Ocean Shores, La Push, Grays Harbor, Queets, Quillayute, Westport, and Neah Bay are all under a wind advisory, with gusts up to 50 mph.
Since the strongest winds are in the north, WSF expects the Anacortes/San Juan Islands and Port Townsend/Coupeville routes to be the most affected, including delays and cancellations. For all other routes, WSF said passengers "can expect a bumpy ride," due to wind-blown, choppy waters. Drivers may be asked to park farther back from the front of the boat as a safety precaution.
