Ivey’s hometown of Camden, also marked the symbolic milestone of project construction crossing the Alabama River and into the city. “It’s good to be home and to make this announcement that culminates the 8 years of efforts that’s been going on,” said Gov. Ivey. In one of the last major milestones for the project, construction for better internet access made its way across the J. Lee Long Bridge on Alabama Highway 29 in Wilcox County.“We’ve got many partnerships that’s been noted, and working together, it makes a difference,” said Gov. Ivey.“We can’t live without . We need it. We’ve got to have it. It’s that necessity now, it’s not another luxury, it’s something we have to have in our lives,” said Sen.
