Cherokee, which won its first sectional title in program history, defeated Freehold Township in the Group 4 semifinals 1-0. Livingston goalie Ayla Sherman has been a star during the state tournament, recording four shutouts so far. Forward Dina Bojkovic has scored 38 goals this season and is two away from matching the school record for goals in a season. Cherokee’s Abbie Zubrzycki has scored 19 goals and assisted 19 others, a school record.
