High school football playoffs: Five area teams aim to stay perfect. Southwest, Alamo Heights, Pieper, Poth and Holy Cross enter the second round at 11-0.

There are 34 UIL teams that are 11-0 and four of them are in the San Antonio area. A fifth area team – Holy Cross – is also 11-0 as they prepare to play Fort Worth Lake Country on Friday in Jarrell in the second round of the TAPPS Division III playoffs.
