Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for High Potential Season 2, Episode 14High Potential still has four episodes left in its second season, but it has already snagged a Season 3 renewal. Season 2 of High Potential has kept up with the show's case of the week formula throughout, but it has also had a number of compelling overarching storylines that will likely roll over into Season 3.
In Season 2 of High Potential, Lieutenant Soto was unfairly passed over for a promotion, and Captain Wagner still holds the position that he didn't earn. Karadec is moving forward in his rekindled relationship with Lucia , but there are clear feelings continuing to build between him and Morgan . Above all else, the mystery of what happened to Roman Sinquerra has lingered over High Potential's second season. This major mystery will likely be resolved by the end of the season, but this storyline should continue into Season 3 even after Roman is introduced. Roman's Introduction Could Be 'High Potential's Greatest Reveal Yet The mystery of what happened to Roman Sinquerra has hung over the entirety of High Potential, and finally, the show is gearing up to give some answers to its biggest questions. Throughout High Potential Season 1, it was unknown whether Roman had died, as well as whether he'd chosen to run away 15 years earlier. For all of Season 2, though, viewers have known that Roman is still alive, and that his disappearance oddly coincided with the murder of an FBI agent named Lila Flynn, for whom Roman had been an informant. This season, it's been revealed that Roman was abducted by a man named Eric Hayworth , who was in the photos in Roman's backpack. Hayworth was hired by a dangerous and powerful woman named Willa Quinn, but it's still a mystery as to why. Roman's first appearance has been built up since it was revealed that he was still alive, and his introduction could be the greatest reveal yet for High Potential. When Roman finally returns, he will be coming back with the story of what happened to him, which will likely include some major twists. Whatever case that Roman was informing will surely come to light when he re-enters Morgan's life, and this may include the reveal of more villains than just Willa Quinn. It will also be interesting to see how Roman fits back into Morgan and Ava's lives after all this time, and what the show will look like with him back. Roman should be introduced by the end of Season 2, but he also needs to stick around for Season 3, as the show could easily continue his storyline. 'High Potential' Season 3 Should Let Its Main Mystery Evolve Certain aspects of the mystery of Roman's disappearance should definitely be resolved this season. It should be revealed why Roman was taken, and Roman should be introduced. Even after this, though, High Potential should continue with this mystery. Season 3 could continue to reveal more about the crime that Roman witnessed, and about why it was important enough to warrant his disappearance. There is also still something suspicious about Captain Wagner and his powerful police family, and Season 3 could go deeper into their legacy and their potential involvement in what happened to Roman. There is clearly a powerful and far-reaching villain at the center of all this, and next season could easily explore that possibility even further.Posts By Diego Pineda Pacheco One could argue that High Potential Season 2 has dragged out the Roman mystery for a little too long, but each reveal related to his disappearance is always an exciting and shocking one. There is so much possibility in the introduction of Roman to the show, as well as in the exploration of the tangled web of whatever he witnessed back before he was abducted. Now that High Potential will be returning for another season, the series has the opportunity to resolve the first part of its overarching mystery, and to start to unravel all of the other elements connected to it. With another season, this storyline can continue without being rushed, and Morgan can finally start to learn the truth of what happened to Roman.
