CLP Senator Jacinta Price has confirmed Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has discussed the role of the Coalition’s Indigenous spokesperson with her – however there is some “hesitation” around promoting Ms Price, says Political Reporter Olivia Caisley.
Ms Price has expressed “interest” in the role however she said it is “ultimately” Mr Dutton’s decision over who will take on the role vacated by Julian Leeser.
“I do understand though that there’s a little bit of hesitation around promoting Senator Price,” Ms Caisley said. “That purely comes down to the technicality that she sits under the Nationals party room rather than the Liberal one.”
