The ride will last 1 minute and 10 seconds, taking guests on a spin at a height of 137 feet, and 'defy gravity at speeds reaching 68 miles per hour.'
The Twizzlers Twisted Gravity ride will be a “screaming swing” style pendulum attraction, and according to a press release from Hersheypark, it will be the tallest of its kind in the world.
The ride will last 1 minute and 10 seconds, taking guests on a spin at a height of 137 feet, and “defy gravity at speeds reaching 68 miles per hour and experience multiple mind-bending zero G moments as they swing high above Spring Creek in The Hollow region of Hersheypark,” the press release reads. Guests will sit in two gondolas, in one of four zones, each themed after a Hershey candy - Twizzlers strawberry and cherry flavors, Hershey’s Chocolate and black licorice.
The ride is manufactures by S&S Worldwide, and after it is completed in 2025, it will be open during all four of Hersheypark’s seasons. “Twizzlers Twisted Gravity will provide our guests with the best of both worlds - the ultimate thrills and never-before-seen views of our Park’s beautiful 121 acres as they soar to a record-breaking height and leave gravity behind,” said Vikki Hultquist, Vice President of Hersheyparkvisit the Hersheypark websiteIf you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
