“It’s not a prop,” Herschel Walker doubled down. “It’s real.”

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to attempts by The Daily Beast to confirm the validity of the badge.the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was an honorary deputy in Cobb County, Georgia as well as three other unnamed counties, but neither the Cobb County police or sheriff’s departments were able to support the claim.

An honorary badge ”gives you absolutely no law enforcement authority,” former DeKalb County District Attorney J. Tom Morgan toldWalker’s campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment by The Daily Beast.
