'I know nothing about an abortion,' Walker told ABC News anchor Linsey Davis. 'I knew it was a lie and I said it was a lie -- and I just move on ... it's sad that people say October surprise, but you're destroying families.'
ABC News' Linsey Davis sits down with Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker to discuss the allegations made by a former girlfriend that he paid for her abortion.
"This race is too important for me to give up or for me to stop," he continued. "So, October surprise is not going to faze me." "Not at all," he said. "So, I didn't know who it was until last week, and I went, 'Oh' -- and I said, 'that's not true.'" The outlet later reported that the same unidentified woman had a child by Walker three years after her abortion. The woman then told the New York Times that Walker encouraged to her to have a second abortion, but she refused -- a claim Walker also denied.
Any involvement by Walker in his ex-girlfriend's alleged abortion would conflict with his anti-abortion position as a political candidate.
