UVALDE, Texas - The second annual Eva Strong Memorial Run was a success with attendees all there in honor of a beloved teacher. Eva Mireles is one of the two teachers killed at Robb Elementary in Uvalde back in May of 2022. She died after heroically saving her students.Eva was known for her love of working out, which included CrossFit and 5K runs.The money raised from the race will provide scholarships to Uvalde students, which is something her sister Maggie Mireles talked with us about.
“Eva was an educator in Uvalde only her entire life, almost 17 years she taught in Uvalde. So, I know that, you know, she would be honored to have this in her name and our family hopes to carry on this legacy for her for the rest of the time to come.Stay Connected
