The new centre should ease pressure on Hereford's County Hospital, NHS bosses say.
Wye Valley NHS Trust was given planning permission for the new community diagnostic centre off the A49 Holmer Road to the north of the city.
The trust's application said it would be "critical to easing pressure on the diagnostics department of Herefordshire's County Hospital".The new two-storey building will be clad in black metal with timber details and will house specialist scanning and diagnostic equipment.It will go on a one hectare plot between a B&Q and Glosford Secure Storage.
