The city of San Antonio is encouraging fans to arrive early to avoid the heavy traffic.

San Antonio will play host to the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome on Saturday.to expect heavy traffic in the area and is encouraging guests to take advantage of VIA Metropolitan options.in October, snarled traffic in the area. Officials expect Saturday to be no different as the city hosts one of WWE's pay-per-view pillars.Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. ahead of the event's 6:30 p.m. start time.
VIA Park & Ride is offering service to the Alamodome from its Crossroads location at 151 Crossroads Blvd. for $1.30 each way. VIA is offering discounts to students, children, active-duty military and seniors for the service, with free parking at the Crossroads location. Service to the Alamodome from the Crossroads location will begin at 4:30 p.m., with kiosk sales and service ending at 6:30 p.m. Return service will continue for an hour after the event concludes.
