Because we’re all missing racing, we wanted runners to take the time to reflect on some of their favorite race-day memories.

“Coming up on the finish of the 2019 #vermontcitymarathon. I couldn’t see the line yet, but I heard the race announcing yell ‘If you can hear my voice you’re about to break 4 hours in the marathon!’ I just started crying. Finished in 3:56.”—“I ran the Ft. Worth marathon four years in a row, and all I wanted was to beat my best time.

I worked and ran so hard leading up to it and I crushed it by 12 minutes. So many friends showed up with cowbells and posters and I cried ugly, happy tears after crossing the finish line!!!”—“A local 10K race that my kids were able to run the last tenth of a mile with me til I finished when I first started running. Now they are both running with me. Also, the first time I ran a half under 2 hours. It was the hilliest course I have ever run and still holds my PR.
