Across Utah on the Fourth of July — and the weekend around it — you can find parades, concerts, fun runs, a couple of rodeos, and a lot of fireworks.

If your idea of the Fourth of July — which happens Thursday — involves having fun in the presence of other people in your city or town, this list is for you. The Salt Lake Tribune has compiled this list of Fourth of July weekend festivities across Utah. Many of them are free. There should be something for everyone, whether you’re staying close to home or traveling around the state.; horseshoe tournament starts at 9 a.m.; “dunk-a-cop” dunking booth, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; food trucks from 5:30 to 10 p.m.; concert at 8 p.m., by Late Night Savior; fireworks at dusk . Pioneer Park, 700 W. Forest St.; free.The Top of Utah Freedom Run, a 9.3-mile downhill race.
