The last time San Antonio temperatures hit 100 was on July 6. Unfortunately, the streak of days spent below 100 degrees is set to end by this weekend.
Last summer, a lot of talk centered around how many consecutive days San Antonio was topping the 100-degree mark. Throughout 2023, the Alamo City tallied three separate 15-day streaks of triple-digit temperatures, including a record 23-day streak from late July through much of August. This year, it’s been the opposite. So far, 2024’s longest streak of 100-degree days has been four, which occurred from June 6-9.
Saturday: The hottest day this weekend will likely be Saturday. Morning temps will rise quicker than they did on Friday, touching 90 degrees by 11 a.m. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to reach 101 to 103 degrees in San Antonio. The warmest temperature ever for Aug. 3 is 103 degrees, which means a record could be tied or broken. Heat index values will rise to 106 to 109 degrees, which is a level of summer swelter we have not experienced in the past several weeks.
