Jamie Lynn Spears is now officially the trustee of Britney’s multi-million dollar trust.
, Britney’s attorney filed documents requesting Jodi Montgomery be named her permanent conservator.
“We are now at a point where the conservatorship must be changed substantially in order to reflect the major changes in her current lifestyle and her stated wishes,” Britney’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham, wrote in a court filing, per. “Without in any way waiving her right to seek termination of this conservatorship in the future, Britney would like Ms. Montgomery’s appointment as conservator of her person to be made permanent.
Back in 2008, Britney likened her conservatorship to being in “prison.” “I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail, y'know, there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never-ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day,” she said in an interview segment, according to. “I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated.
